Year 6 - Kestrels
Year 6 Teacher - Mr Bark
The Kestrels class are working very hard at the minute to prepare ourselves for SATS. We started the year on our residential trip to Condover Hall in Shropshire; there, we all got to know each other really well and pushed ourselves to overcome our fears and try new things. Since we have been back we have been working hard to improve our arithmetic abilities, increase our reading speed and develop our writing techniques.
Our class is full of different talents, skills and personalities. We have some fantastic athletes, lots of good footballers, dancers, gymnasts, archers, mathematicians, writers, readers as well as singers (the list is endless). We are working hard to show all of the children in Year 6 that they could achieve whatever they want as long as they work hard enough. We have already grown, developed and improved since the start of September and I am looking forward to seeing where we will get to by the end of next July!
As part of our corridor project we have been doing sketches of our favourite British sporting icons. The children loved choosing their favourite hero and drawing them!
