Year 3 - Badgers
Year 3 Teacher - Mr Martino
Badgers Class have been learning all about the Tudors. We placed all the Tudor kings and queens in their family tree, made a Tudor Rose origami, and started designing our own Tudor houses. We have also been writing letters to and from King Henry VIII, in addition to eye-witness accounts of Anne Boleyn's execution and Elizabeth I's coronation. Some of our work has been inspired by our class book, My friend Walter, by Michael Morpurgo.
In Maths, we have consolidated our place value skills in order to start working with three-digit numbers. We have practised adding and subtracting numbers mentally, and have now started working on multiplication and division.
In Science we have been learning about rocks. We have looked at the uses of rocks in our school environment. We have also baked three different types of cakes to better understand how rocks are formed.
