  • Circus Skills Workshop

    Published 24/04/18

On Thursday 15th of March 20 children from Years 2 and 3 enjoyed a day full of dance and fun at Kingswood Secondary School. Secondary students introduced our children to the topic of a circus and used pictures to illustrate what people may be going in a circus. They then taught groups of 5 children a dance routine which was practiced several times to perfect. Finally, their dance was combined to those of 3 other primary schools who also attended the event and the 4 merged together amazingly to form a fantastic performance. After lunchtime, children got into groups again but this time they created their own short dance with the help of a secondary student. Their dances included lifts like those you may find in a circus. We all returned back to school with big smiles on our faces and fabulous memories made.
