Cornerstones Methodist Church are offering free, warm, welcoming and safe environment every Wednesday from 9am and 3pm. A free hot meal will be served.
The day will be a non-uniform day. Children may wear their normal ‘home clothes’ to school for the day. Please ensure that footwear is suitable for playing outside at break and lunchtime. We understand that the cost of living crisis is affecting every household and therefore there will be no theme or expectation that children wear costumes. If you feel able to make a donation to Children in Need, we ask that you do this via the ways advertised on tv. There is no expectation that children bring money into school.
There is no pressure to wear the latest fashion or to buy expensive costumes. All children and staff have to do to take part is wear odd socks to school, it couldn’t be simpler! Odd Socks Day takes place on the first day of Anti-Bullying Week each year to help raise awareness of bullying.
We express our deepest sympathies for the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Her dedication to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and to her other realms and territories is unparalleled and we thank her for her service.
Our academy will observe the mourning period whilst continuing to support our pupils, families and staff.
Extremely high temperatures are forecast for the next couple of days.

Thousands of people across Corby and beyond have wrapped their proverbial arms around a little girl who is suffering from a rare form of leukemia today.
People around the town, the county and even into neighbouring counties, have come to school and work dressed in rainbow colours to raise money to mark Florence Bark’s sixth birthday.
As this coming week looks set to be very warm, we are allowing children to come to school all week in their PE kits, if they wish.
In addition to this, please do not forget to send your child in with a water bottle, as well as sunscreen/hats. Thank you

Instead of Sports Day this year, we will be doing a fun run to raise money for Mr Bark’s daughter Florence on her 6th birthday, Friday 8th July.
